What do I need to move the bike on German roads?
Up to a speed of 25 km/h, the bike is equivalent to a conventional bicycle. So you don't need a permit or liability insurance
However, if you want to drive faster than 25 km/h, you need an eBike license, an insurance number, liability insurance and the driver must be in possession of a valid driving license (class AM, B) and an examination by the TÜV, Dekra or other institutions be. A helmet is also required by law.
